WPStudio is a creative WordPress agency specializing in creating fresh and modern Genesis child themes and ready to use plugins.
WPStudio launched in March 2015 and is based in Arnhem, The Netherlands. Founder Frank Schrijvers has more than seven years experience in WordPress theme development, uploading his first free themes to the WordPress.org theme directory back in 2009. WPStudio is a result of his passion for designing and developing clean and functional child themes for the Genesis Framework.
WPStudio Themes
WPStudio currently have two great looking WordPress themes available, with another to be released later this month. All WPStudio themes are built on the Genesis Framework – the rock-solid, secure and search-engine-optimized premium WordPress theme framework from StudioPress.
Creative Portfolio Theme
The Creative Portfolio Theme is a clean and modern portfolio and blogging WordPress theme ideal for showing your work. It features custom posts for portfolio items, theme options (upload logo, favicon, change background colours / image etc), featured images, footer widgets, HTML5 markup and CSS3, Sass files, mobile responsive layout, support for various plugins, Genesis SEO options and all the other Genesis functionality.
SingleBox Theme
SingleBox is a very clean and minimalist blog and portfolio theme. It has a single column design with large featured images and a simple hidden navigation menu system. Some of the other key features of the theme include: theme options, HTML5 markup and CSS3 coding, footer widgets, mobile friendly responsive design, Genesis SEO options and all other Genesis functionality.
Plastic Blog Theme (coming soon)
Plastic is a slick and modern blog style theme that has a widgetized homepage with a masonry and infinite scrolling blog section. It has a featured header image, hamburger menu, and prominent email newsletter signup section. The responsive layout ensures its mobile friendly and will look good on all devices from mobile to desktop. It is built with HTML5 markup, CSS3 and Sass files are also included with the theme. Plastic also has options to easily upload your logo and favicon, change the background colour or image, as well as all the other Genesis functionality and options.
Plugins for Genesis
WPStudio also have a couple of free WordPress plugins for the Genesis Framework.
- Genesis Overlay Widget Plugin – creates a full screen overlay widget area you can use for forms, navigation or a featured post or page.
- Genesis Slide-in Widget – creates a slide-in panel, to quickly show side content, navigation, contact form, notifications or profile information
- Genesis Widget Backgound Plugin – allows you to set a background (featured image, a custom image or a color) for your featured page widget

WPStudio Genesis child themes start from only $18. They also offer customization solutions and full custom designs for a fixed price. All WPStudio child themes are released under the GPL license.
