Options is the latest WordPress theme resulting from Justin Tadlock’s innovative Community Theme Project. Options is a magazine / CMS theme which as the name implies is feature packed with just ‘too many options to count’.

Stylesheets
This theme comes packaged with two different stylesheets, Dark and Light, which you can choose through the theme options page. There’s also two customizable stylesheets.
Home page layout sections
There are five sections, or blocks, on the home page layout. From the theme options page, you can choose from 14 different options for each of the sections.
Sidebars
The theme includes customizable, widget-ready sidebars. There are quite a few pre-built widgets for your use.
This is a version 1.0 beta release. The theme will continue to be updated, and more functions and styles will be added. As this is a community driven theme users can contribute to the development and evolution of the theme through the forums on the developers site.

Branford Magazine is the very first WordPress theme release from Michael Oeser. This magazine style theme combines the very best elements of three famous WordPress magazine themes into one single theme. The inspiration from “Revolution” by Brian Gardner, “Mimbo” by Darren Hoyt and “Structure” by Justin Tadlock, are clearly evident in the theme. The result is a clean, feature packed magazine style theme which rivals some of the best premium WordPress themes. However it could also be argued that the theme is too much of a blatant rip off of the themes mentioned above, particularly Mimbo, and lacks originality. What do you think?

Mimbo is a clean good looking magazine-style WordPress theme which makes extensive use of WP’s template tag system to create a non-traditional layout. It contains no images and only minimal CSS styling. Mainly it exists as a clean, grid-based starter layout for designers to install and style to their own liking.
